“Munnabhai” Sanjay Dutt celebrates 50th birthday
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is one of the iconic performers on screen today and is celebrating his 50th birthday today.
In his recent film “Luck” Dutt performed with elegance and aplomb compelling critics to write that only he can play that role of betting king to perfection.
Sanjay is the son of the late actors Nargis and Sunil Dutt. He has two sisters, Priya Dutt and Namrata Dutt. He struggled with drug addiction and underwent treatment at a drug rehab centre in Jackson, Mississippi, USA
Sanjay Dutt made his debut with the film “Rocky” which was a huge success. Since then he acted in more than 60 films. His performances in “Khalnayak”, “Munnabhai” series, “Sajan”, “Naam”, “Aatish”, “Vaastav: The Reality” are quite memorable. He won two Filmdare Awards.
Sanjay dabbled in politics and was involved in a case of possessing unlicensed arms. In the recent elections, he campaigned for Samajwadi Parrty.
Sanjay married Richa Sharma in 1987. She died of cancer in 1996. They had a daughter, Trishala Dutt, who lives in the United States. His second wife was Rhea Pillai, whom he divorced. Dutt is currently married to his third wife Dilnawaz Shaik also known as Manyata.
Sanjay Dutt was appointed a goodwill ambassador for the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM). He will be promoting the use of spirulina to help the organization’s fight against malnutrition and hunger. His role will also support the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by mainstreaming the use of spirulina
Sanjau Dutt has many films on hand. His next big release is “Blue”.
