“Ashta Chamma” in ISB syllabus as case study
The film “Ashta Chamma” which launched Colours Swathi and went on get critical acclaim and audience acceptance has now become a case study in marketing at the prestigious International School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad.
The producer of “Ashta Chamma” , Ram Mohan Rao is an alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and he made the film with a budget of Rs 2 Crore but through innovative marketing strategies the film collected Rs 10 crore at the box-office.
Ram Mohan Rao incurred losses in a business he started and then worked with Suresh Productions and UTV before venturing out as an independent producer.
The students of ISB are being taught about the simple but unique marketing techniques employed for the success of “Ashta Chamma”.
