‘Singham Returns’ Mints Rs. 77.64 Crore over Weekend
Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Singham Returns’ is off to a sweeping start. The sequel of the 2011 `Singham` has not only broken all records at the Indian box office but has also opened strongly at the overseas markets.
The film has averaged Rs. 77.64 crore within three days of its release. It has been made on an estimated budget of Rs. 115 crore. The film collected Rs. 32.09 crore on day one and the collections slightly dipped on Saturday to Rs. 21.05 crore. It picked up the earnings on Sunday and made Rs. 24.5 crore.
Monday is a restricted holiday in most offices; the movie might well make an entry into the Rs. 100-crore club by Tuesday.
‘Singham Returns’ might also cross Salman Khan‘s Kick in terms of box office collections. ‘Kick’ earned Rs. 163 crore within a week and has done a business of above Rs. 220 crore in the domestic market.
