‘Oka Laila Kosam’ Collections Affected Due to Cyclone HudHud

Telugu romantic-comedy ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ starring Naga Chaitanya which was released on October 17 has minted Rs.7.8 crore in first three days of its release. But due to the aftermath of cyclone ‘Hudhud’ in Andhra Pradesh the film couldn’t register bigger opening.
Trade analyst Trinath said that, “The film minted Rs.7.8 crore worldwide in its opening weekend. Since most theaters in Visakhapatnam and a few neighbouring places still remain shut due to cyclone ‘Hudhud’, the film has lost big chunk of collections from these key areas”.
The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Konda, also features Pooja Hegde, Suman and Ali in pivotal roles.
A Visakhapatnam-based distributor said, “Most theatres in Visakhapatnam are shut due to lack of electricity. ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ couldn’t be released in maximum number of screens. It will take at least a week or two more for these theaters to start working again”.
Nearly 200 theatres still remain shut in the cyclone-hit areas in Andhra Pradesh.
