Super Star Maheshbabu’s latest movie is ‘Brahmotsavam’. Over 70 per cent of the film shooting was complete and the shooting for the remaining part is also galloping under the direction of Boyapati Srinu. However, when it comes to the release date, the entire unit was in a dilemma. Earlier, the film makers planned to release the film on April 29. But several star heroes’ films are in race in the month of April. Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh is slated for release on April 8, while Sarainodu of Allu Arjun and ‘A…Aa…’ directed by Trivikram with Nithin in the lead are also set for release in April. To avoid clash and to avoid split in revenue, Maheshbabu reportedly decided to push the release date of his film to May. It may be recalled here that Maheshbabu had taken a similar decision for his film ‘Srimanthudu’ to avoid clash with Bahubali and the former became a blockbuster due to the postponement. He did not give scope for any kind of ego and took a gentleman decision in this regard. Brahmotsavam is also a good family entertainer, it is learnt. The film is simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages and slated for release on the same day to avoid clash with Tamil star heroes’ films. However, the PVP Cinemas is yet to announce this officially.
