13 more SEZs near Hyderabad
Deccan Infrastructure and Land Holdings Limited (DIL), a state government undertaking, will set up 13 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) near Hyderabad. The SEZs will come up in 530 hectares.
DIL, in which AP Housing Board holds 57.67 per cent equity while 42.33 per cent is held by the state, will enter into joint development agreement with private parties to develop the SEZs.
The joint development partners will be chosen through a competitive bidding process, a highly-placed DIL official said. Of the five SEZs, two will be for IT and ITES, two for free trade warehousing and one each for textile, apparels and fashion accessories, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, gems and jewelry, bio-technology, farm machinery and electronic hardware and software.
