The other side of Telugu Newspapers
Media is a channel of information flow for citizens and a window for the public to look at the world out there. This is an innocent and insouciant definition given the role they are playing in many parts of the world. And the fourth estate in Andhra Pradesh is no exemption to that. Like many parts in the world here too media has exhibited its ugly face more brazenly with majority of the dailies and channels taking sides with political parties of their choice.
In this southern part of subcontinent rather than carrying the news, the newspapers themselves are becoming news. Whom to blame for this sorry state of affairs?
Don’t immediately find fault with political parties as you do at every available occasion but blame media moguls who have not hesitated to mortgage principles of fourth estate to safeguard properties and swell their burses.
May be if Naidu becomes CM it will be hailed as victory of Enadu and Andhra jyothi and if YSR retains the power Sakshi may claim credit. But whoever wins the looser is creditability of the media.
