Sonia denies Jaitley’s incriminations, says no revolt in the party
The Congress president Sonia Gandhi has responded to the charges put by the Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley, denying any internal rebellion in the party.
“Let them say whatever they want to”, said the Congress president.
The whole row started early in the morning when Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi made the statement in Lok Sabha that only one man’s voice is heard like anything. He was targeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This statement of Mr. Gandhi came when the speaker Sumitra Mahajan rejected the request to debate on rising communal violence in the country.
Later, Arun Jaitley asserted the statement of Mr. Gandhi as an uncharacteristic display of aggression and suggested him to look at the internal revolt in the party, referring to it as a ‘palace coup’.
Now, Sonia Gandhi came open saying there is no rebellion in the party and all the allegations made by the ruling party are void.
