Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar presented Saina Nehwal a brand new BMW car for winning a bronze medal at the London Olympics.

The presentation was made at a felicitation function organised by the Andhra Badminton Association on Sunday in Hyderabad.

While announcing a BMW car for Saina and a car each for her coach P Gopichand and budding talent PV Sindhu, Sachin said, “I am quite confident that your best is yet to come and you will emerge victorious across the world and that is what we want”.

Saina is the first Indian to win a medal in Badminton at the Olympics. She achieved this feat by winning the Bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012 on 4 August 2012. She is the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships. Saina was also the first Indian to win a Super Series tournament, by clinching the Indonesia Open with a victory over higher-ranked Chinese Wang Lin in Jakarta on 21 June 2009.
