Hyderabad, June 23 (INN): Rajya Sabha member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy on Sunday said that the Congress leader should not depend on Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the creation of Telangana State.
Talking to reporters here, Palvai said that the Congress leaders did not act with wisdom in dealing with the demand for Telangana. He said that the statehood for the region could have been achieved if the leaders would have acted wisely. Unfortunately, he said that the leaders have left the decision on Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Palvai said that it would be difficult for the Congress leaders to move in region if the Centre fails to give statehood for Telangana before the elections. He also slammed the Seemandhra leaders for trying to sabotage the Telangana movement.
