Congress makes ‘Vidya Balan’ attack on Modi’s I-Day speech
Congress, the main opposition, attacked PM Modi on bogging down to pedestrian issues, and delivering a speech of ‘zero effect’.
The former union minister, Manish Tiwari said, “Given that it was the first address of the new Prime Minister one would have expected certain vision to be articulated by him on the trajectory of the next five years. But it is unfortunate that PM got bogged down in pedestrian issues without being able to rise to the occasion”.
Shakeel Ahmed, the general secretary of the Congress referred to PM’s speech as a ‘zero effect speech’. He added, “It had nothing new. No new ideas, schemes, initiatives were announced by the Prime Minister”.
Mr. Ahmed also accused BJP for instigating all riots and conflicts at the ground level.
“Vidya Balan is already promoting sanitation ten times a day on TV channels and it is the part of the propaganda drive of the Ministry of Sanitation set up by the UPA”, said Ahmed.
