Bollywood’s onscreen chemistry couple
More than science text books, chemistry is a term used more often in Bollywood. But what exactly do they mean when they talk about chemistry between couples? Well it’s the intimacy that our celebrities share onscreen and make their bonding credible. But real sizzling chemistry between couples are the ones where their intimacy extends beyond their onscreen requirements and the duo hit it off so smoothly that you want to see them together again and again. That’s the reason Amitabh Bachchan – Rekha, Shahrukh Khan – Kajol, Akshay Kumar – Priyanka Chopra are pairings that you still remember for the amazing chemistry they exuded.
One of the most talked about couples in recent times, both for their onscreen and offscreen chemistry, Hrithik Roshan never clicked with any Indian actress so amazingly like he did with Mexican seductress Barbara Mori. The mere fact that there were speculations about a sizzling hot affair between the two proves that their chemistry went much beyond their film Kites .
After working with actresses like Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan who looked much elder to her, Shahid Kapoor finally found girls who complements his age. His chemistry with Anushka Sharma was as fresh as the pairing. Badmaash Company was more of a crime drama and not essentially a love story with their bonding being established in just a song number. But so refreshing were the two in each other’s company that they clicked big time even in such short time. Sexy and yet sweet!
It’s not necessary that a real-life couple will click as smoothly in reel-life too. No doubt Aishwarya Rai shares a more sizzling chemistry with costar Vikram than husband Abhishek Bachchan in Raavan . Interestingly Aishwarya Rai has the double advantage of romancing Vikram as Ram in the Hindi version of the film Raavan and seducing Vikram as Raavan in the Tamil version of the same film Raavanan .
Now this is a real life couple who look as striking and charming onscreen and offscreen. Especially in this photo-shoot for the magazine Harper’s Bazaar, they gel gracefully oozing their romantic side.
Vidya Balan smooched for the first time onscreen in Guru and her chemistry with Madhavan was to be seen to be believed. Much against her girl-next-door image, Vidya was so natural in her bonding with Madhavan that there were rumours of linkups. They even worked together in the Airtel advertisements and made a perfect couple in the commercial.
Much against their real-life partners Salman Khan and Bipasha Basu. Katrina Kaif and John Abraham complemented each other brilliantly in New York. They were absolutely in their comfort zone while indulging in a lovemaking scene for the film which added to their chemistry
In Bollywood, directors are usually assumed to be old and obese characters. But Farhan Akhtar is much against that cliché, coming across as a natural-born actor and his chemistry with Deepika Padukone was so lively yet not traditionally mushy like in usual Hindi films.
